Props

Equipment we will need for filming:
Below are the props we will be needing for our film and roughly how much they will cost:

The props needed:
  • white gown- £3
  • Bible- £1
  • Make-up- £5
  • Long black wig- £5
  • Crucifix-£1
  • Fake blood-£1
  • Family Photos-£1
  • White socks-£1
To make it fair, we will split costs evenly between the 3 of us.

UPDATE!

A week later and we have already filmed:). Instead of buying the props as we could not find what we needed anywhere, we improvised and made do with what we had at home and it turned out to be very affective! Instead of a white night gown, we used my step-dad's long-line, white t-shirt and it looked more realistic as she looked less girly and more deadly. We asked for 2 bibles from school and backed them with paper to make them fit in better with the mise-en-scene. (Looking back we realised we should have just used normal books and backed those as its possible that burning a bible can bring bad things. Oh dear!!). The make-up we used was left-overs from last Halloween and we managed to make Phoebe look very realistic and scary as you will see in the make-up post. We asked the technicians at school to make us a wooden cross, and that they did which was extremely helpful!:) We printed off some of Phoebe's family photos from the school computer and Phoebe was already wearing white socks. Convenient! Overall, because we had access to cameras, tripods, computers etc free of charge, and improvised with our props, making this thriller opening was completely free! Get in!
